Lydia Welcomes Epaphroditus at Her Door in Philippiby emmanuel_higgins

Philippians 2:26

For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.

Epaphroditus longed to be with the believers in Philippi and to see them again. He was deeply distressed because they had heard that he had been sick. Even while he himself was seriously ill in Rome, his heaviness of heart came not for his own suffering but from concern for their anxiety about him. His longing and his distress were thus turned outward toward comforting those who worried over his sickness.
