Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
The verse looks back to the time when God sent tokens and wonders into the very midst of Egypt. Those signs were directed upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants as well as upon the Egyptians as a people. In that sending, the verse sets forth acts of divine power displayed in Egypt against its ruler and his kingdom.
