Psalms 17:14
From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes. The verse is a prayer for deliverance from men of the world whose portion is confined to this life. Its outlook stretches far beyond the present and far away from all earthly attractions. It sets those who are satisfied with this life over against the hope of beholding God in righteousness and being satisfied when awaking in His likeness.
