Psalms 5:10

Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

The verse is a prayer asking God to bring those who have rebelled against Him to ruin. Their downfall comes through their own evil plans and counsels, letting their own devices cause their fall. God expels and drives them away because of the multitude of their transgressions.

The verse expresses God's hatred of all workers of iniquity and His judgment on lying, bloody, and deceitful speech. It condemns mouths in which there is no faithfulness, whose inward part is wickedness and whose flattering throat brings death. It sets this unrighteous side of speech against the righteous side, who enter His house in mercy and worship toward His holy temple. The righteous are led in His righteousness, put their trust in Him, and rejoice and shout for joy because He defends them, and those who love His name are blessed and surrounded with favor as a protection.
