Psalms 68:13

Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.

Lying among the pots pictures a condition of being brought low, degraded and unclean, stained by hardship and sin. Yet those in that state are promised a change into something precious and beautiful, like the wings of a dove covered with silver and its feathers with yellow gold. That change takes place when the garments defiled by sin are taken away and the repentant sinner is clothed with the garments of salvation and the robe of righteousness. The silver-covered wings and gold-colored feathers picture the purity and holiness that shine upon the cleansed through the Sun of Righteousness. Restoration and human worth are thus presented as gifts that God promises.
