Psalms 70:4
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
Psalm 70 is a slightly revised repetition of the last five verses of Psalm 40. The repeated portion beginning at Psalm 40:11 concerns David himself and was written at another time and under different circumstances than the earlier verses of Psalm 40, as shown by the change of tone. The earlier verses about proclaiming righteousness in the great congregation and declaring God's faithfulness and salvation point to Christ opening the way for the Gentiles and preaching the gospel to them through His disciples.
This psalm was not given to taunt believers. Its prayer was inspired for their use. When conditions call for it they can pray it themselves with assurance that it will be heard.
