Psalms 74:23

Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.

Psalm 74 belongs to the experience of the Jewish captives in Babylon. It gives voice to their sorrow and desolation in captivity. It also expresses their longing and their prayers for deliverance. Within that setting the closing appeal asks God not to forget the voice of His enemies. It describes their tumult as that of those rising up against Him, increasing continually.
