Song of Solomon 2:12
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
The verse portrays the arrival of spring in beauty and renewal, with flowers appearing on the earth, the time of singing birds come, and the voice of the turtle dove heard in the land. Those blooming flowers and singing birds, with the dove's voice, are signs that winter is ended. They express nature's renewal in fresh beauty at the season's opening. Those same spring conditions mark the time of year when the Passover occurred.
