Song of Solomon 4:7

Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

In the verse the one speaking to his chosen one is Christ speaking to his redeemed people, his church as his bride and chosen one. His declaration is that they are wholly beautiful and wholly fair, without defect, blemish, or spot. Marriage is thereby made a symbol of the union between Christ and his redeemed people.

That union is tender and sacred. Those he addresses in this way are the people he purchased at Calvary. The gospel aims to restore marriage to its purity and beauty.
