Women Speak Together in a Courtyardby CBPepper

Song of Solomon 6:9

My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

The Song is written in the figurative language of the East and is often read as a parable of Christ and His church.
The dove, the undefiled one, is the church, but one, pure, chosen and uniquely precious and cherished above all others.
The daughters saw her and blessed her, and the queens and the concubines praised her, so she is praised by all who see her.
In this picture of Christ and His church, the verse shows Christ's wonderful love for His church.

The same chapter describes the triumph of the church.
In prophetic application the verse alludes to the seven churches, with the seventh portrayed as the fairest and reaching a perfect state.

Together with the next verse, it portrays the faithful company of Christ's church as beautiful and powerful.
They are clothed in white and equipped with the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
They are soon to appear in action in the final conflict.
