Zephaniah 3:10

From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.

The promise points to conditions that are still to come into existence and stands as a warning of what is ahead. The bringing of an offering by scattered suppliants from far beyond the rivers of Ethiopia takes place after the gathering of the nations and kingdoms to receive poured-out indignation, when the earth is devoured by the fire of jealous wrath. Before that offering is presented, a pure speech is given to the people, so that all together call upon the name of the Lord and serve Him in united agreement and with one consent. It belongs to the day when shame for transgression is taken away, pride and haughtiness are removed, and an afflicted and poor people are left to trust in the name of the Lord. It is the time when the remnant of Israel commits no iniquity and speaks no lies, but feeds and rests in safety with none to cause fear.
