E-pĭph'o-rā, n.

(e-pĭf'o-rā), n. [Gr. ἐπιφορά, from ἐπιφέρειν, to bring to or upon, from ἐπί and φέρειν, to bring.]

1. (Med.) The watery eye; a disease in which the tears, from increased secretion, accumulate in the eye, and trickle over the cheek.
2. (Rhet.) The emphatic repetition of a word or phrase, at the end of several sentences or stanzas.
